For strong bones, adequate calcium intake is paramount. Include calcium-rich foods in your diet such as dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt), leafy green vegetables (kale, spinach), fortified foods (cereals, plant-based milks), and fish with edible bones (sardines, salmon). Vitamin D is also essential as it helps your body absorb calcium. Sunlight exposure is a natural source of Vitamin D, but you can also find it in fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified foods.

Regular weight-bearing exercise is vital for bone health. Activities like walking, running, dancing, and weightlifting stimulate bone growth and help maintain bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis later in life.

To ensure healthy teeth, good oral hygiene is key. Brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes with fluoride toothpaste. Fluoride helps strengthen tooth enamel and prevent cavities. Floss daily to remove food particles and plaque from between your teeth, areas your toothbrush can’t reach.  

Diet also plays a significant role in teeth health. Limit sugary and acidic foods and drinks, as they can erode tooth enamel and contribute to cavities. Choose water as your primary beverage and opt for tooth-friendly snacks like fruits, vegetables, and cheese.

Regular dental checkups are crucial for preventing and detecting dental problems early. Your dentist can provide professional cleaning to remove plaque and tartar buildup and identify any potential issues before they become serious. They can also offer advice on proper brushing and flossing techniques.

For optimal bone and teeth health, avoid smoking. Smoking weakens bones and increases the risk of gum disease and tooth loss. Limiting alcohol consumption is also beneficial as excessive alcohol can interfere with calcium absorption and increase the risk of oral cancer.
